Report on the 2012 International Symposium of Medical and Care Facilities
The 2012 International Symposium of Medical and Care Facilities, sponsored by the Asia Association of Medical Care and Facilities and run by the Korean Association of Medical Care and Facilities, was held on Thursday, June 14 and Friday, June 15 at the BEXCO event site in Pusan, Korea.
Like last year's symposium, this year's event was held concurrently with the Silver Expo, and encompassed six sessions, on a theme of "Long-term Medical Care and Welfare, Today and Tomorrow.”
Large numbers of Association members from both the Japan and Korea Associations participated in the various sessions, with presentations describing the current state of long-term medical care in both countries, followed by lively exchanges of opinions. The preparation schedule for this year's symposium was tight, but the program offered a broad complement of varied content, and the participants were highly pleased with the event.
The Asia Association of Medical Care and Facilities hopes to expand beyond the borders of Japan and Korea to serve as a bridge to the Asian region as a whole, and is striving to promote the further growth and development of long-term medical care.
