5th Asian Conference of Medical and Care Facilities

On Saturday, Friday, June 21, 2019, at the Shanghai International Conference Center in China, 'The 5th Asian Society for Chronic Phase Medicine - Innovation in Chronic Diseases -' was held with the participation of approximately 900 simultaneous interpreters from Japan, Korea, and China.

It is the only international conference in Asia. The purpose of this conference is for Asian countries such as Japan, where the aging society is rapidly approaching, and China, where the aging society is rapidly approaching. The objective is to face up to the present situation and recognize the improvement of the quality of chronic phase medical care as a common problem. In 2015, the Chinese Association for Chronic Phase Medical Care (Chairman: <Formally known as the China Non-Public Medical Organization Association Chronic Stage Division>) joined the Asian Association for Chronic Phase Medical Care, and it was the first conference held in China.

The opening ceremony was greeted by representatives from each country, and many academic presentations were made in line with the theme of each event. At this year's conference, a session entitled "Asia 1st Road Show on Chronic Disease Medical Cases" was held for the first time. 12 persons from Japan, South Korea, and China presented presentations on new technologies and equipment in chronic phase medical care, as well as on new projects and actual cases, in the form of a contest, and the "Excellence Awards" was awarded.

In addition, the Asian Association for Chronic Health Care held a press conference during the conference, and representatives of the associations from Asia, Japan, Korea, and China exchanged views on the progress of chronic health care.

This was the first conference held in China, but thanks to everyone's cooperation, we were able to successfully close the conference. In the future, I would like to discuss common issues and cooperate with Asian countries in order to create a safe society for the elderly, so as to promote the development of chronic phase medical care.

Finally, I would like to report that the 6th Asian Society for Chronic Medicine was decided to be held in Busan, Korea in June 2021.
