Report on the 2nd Asian Congress of Medical and Care Facilities
The 2nd Asian Congress of Medical and Care Facilities was held on Thursday, June 23 and Friday, June 24, 2011, at the BEXCO event site in Pusan, Korea.
In response to a strong wish expressed by Pusan City, the Congress was held concurrently with the Silver Expo held annually in the city, and was run by the Korean Association of Medical Care and Facilities. A total of 710 people from nine countries took part in the Congress. Symposia proved to be venues for lively exchanges of opinions, while representatives from Japan and Korea expressed their respective opinions at the presentations. The Congress proved a valuable opportunity to contribute to improving the quality of long-term medical care.
At the Congress, the Japan Association of Medical Care and Facilities and the Korean Association of Medical Care and Facilities came together to establish the Asian Association of Medical Care and Facilities. Our aim is to bring Asian countries together in the future and continue working for the growth and development of long-term medical care.
